Tinubu Appoints IBB's Son, Others to Lead Key Govt Agencies

President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of new chairmen and directors-general to lead various government agencies. The appointments were disclosed in a statement by the President's Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

Notable among the appointees is Muhammad Babangida, son of former military dictator Ibrahim Babangida, who has been appointed as Chairman of the revamped Bank of Agriculture. Babangida, 53, brings a wealth of experience to the role, with a degree in Business Administration and a Master's in Public Relations and Business Communication.

Lydia Kalat Musa as Chairman of the Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority

Jamilu Wada Aliyu as Chairman of the National Educational Research and Development Council

Yahuza Ado Inuwa as Chairman of the Standard Organisation of Nigeria

Sanusi Musa (SAN) as Chairman of the Institute of Peace and Conflict Resolution

Prof. Al-Mustapha Alhaji Aliyu as Director-General of the Directorate of Technical Cooperation in Africa

Sanusi Garba Rikiji as Director-General of the Nigerian Office for Trade Negotiations

Mrs Tomi Somefun as Managing Director of the National Hydro-Electric Power Areas Development Commission

Dr Abdulmumini Mohammed Aminu-Zaria as Executive Director of the Nigerian Integrated Water Resources Management Commission.
