NLC Shuts Down Mines Ministry Over Unlawful Sacking of Worker

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) took drastic action by shutting down the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development in Abuja due to the ministry's failure to comply with a court judgment.

The judgment ordered the reinstatement of Comrade Victor Ekpaha, who was unlawfully sacked 20 years ago.

The NLC is now demanding full payment of Ekpaha's salaries, allowances, and benefits for the entire period.

This move showcases the NLC's commitment to fighting for workers' rights, similar to their recent actions against the Labour Party's leadership, where they demanded the immediate sack of Chairman Julius Abure over alleged corrupt practices.
