Restoring Peace: Zamfara Gov Praises Military, Vows to Boost State Devt

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to restoring security and ensuring that every citizen lives without fear.

In a broadcast message to the people of the state, Governor Lawal acknowledged the persistent security challenges, particularly the menace of banditry, which has continued to threaten peace and stability. He expressed deep concern over the losses suffered by many families and the fear that has gripped numerous communities.

“Our administration remains fully committed to restoring security and ensuring that every citizen can live without fear,” he stated. “For years, insecurity, especially banditry, has jeopardized our peace and stability. Many families have endured losses, and too many communities have lived in fear.”

The governor assured residents that his administration is working tirelessly, in collaboration with security agencies, to address the situation. He emphasized that efforts to tackle insecurity will continue until lasting peace is achieved.

“We are working relentlessly with security forces to strengthen our strategies in combating these threats, and we will not relent until peace is fully restored in our dear state, Insha Allah.”

Governor Lawal commended the security forces for their unwavering dedication in the fight against banditry, appreciating their role in restoring peace and safeguarding lives and property.

“I wish to commend the security forces for their tireless efforts in ensuring our safety and restoring peace across Zamfara State,” he said.

He expressed optimism that the battle against banditry is yielding results, noting that the state has witnessed significant progress in countering the menace.

“Alhamdulillah, we have started seeing results as scores of bandit-terrorists are being eliminated,” he affirmed.

Beyond security, Governor Lawal reiterated his administration’s commitment to economic growth and infrastructural development. He highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance critical sectors such as education, healthcare, and road networks.

“The construction of the Zamfara International Airport is progressing steadily, and we remain determined to boost economic activities that will attract investments and create opportunities for prosperity,” he disclosed. “Additionally, we are implementing reforms in the education and healthcare sectors to enhance the quality of life for our people.”

The governor called on residents to embrace unity and peace, especially as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.

“As we celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, I urge everyone to uphold the values of discipline, patience, and generosity instilled in us during Ramadan,” he said. “The challenges ahead require collective effort and cooperation.”

He encouraged the people of Zamfara to set aside their differences, work together, and support the government’s agenda for rescuing and rebuilding the state.

Governor Lawal also praised religious and community leaders for their role in fostering harmony and upholding the values that unite the people. Additionally, he expressed gratitude to philanthropists who extended kindness to the less privileged during Ramadan, enabling many to observe the holy month with ease.

“I urge them to sustain this noble gesture beyond Ramadan,” he added, calling on residents to seek divine intervention in overcoming the challenges facing the state.
